The primary purpose of anointing with holy anointing oil is to sanctify, to set the person or object apart as holy as written in Exodus 30:29.
The Bible has many beautiful scriptures about when to use anointing oil. Most commonly used for the laying on of hands & praying for the sick, blessing people or homes/spaces, times of spiritual warfare, fasting, deliverance, and prayer in general for self or others.
These anointing oils have already been blessed and set apart so when praying for yourself or others, by faith, simply apply to palms of hands, forehead, and anywhere else the Holy Spirit leads you to.
When blessing a home/space, anoint your hands and move throughout touching doors/walls/thresholds/windows/etc. being sensitive to the Spirit for other things to anoint. As you do these things be in constant prayer. Everything is prayed in the mighty name of Jesus.
